Yes, the price shown in the simulator is the all-inclusive price for your custom neon, before any state or local sales tax. It covers manufacturing, the installation kit (screws, wall anchors, 3M double-sided adhesive), the power adapter and delivery. The calculation updates in real time based on the text length, typeface and size you choose. No hidden fees are added at checkout.

What is the delivery time for a custom Helioneon neon?

The standard lead time is 10 to 14 days from approval of your 3D mock-up. Once you place your order via the simulator, our team sends you a preview visual within 24 hours. As soon as you approve it, production begins. Every custom neon is shipped with parcel tracking and transport insurance included. For a gift (wedding, housewarming, birthday, Valentine's Day), order at least 7 days ahead so you can relax.

What is the lifespan of a custom LED neon?

Our custom LED neons deliver more than 100,000 hours of light , which is around 27 years of decorative use at 10 hours a day. Unlike glass neon that runs on gas, our signs are made with high-density LED strips encapsulated in a flexible silicone tube. The result: up to 80% energy saved, no heat, no noise, and stable brightness over time.

How do I install my custom neon at home?

Every custom Helioneon neon comes with a complete installation kit . Two options: classic wall mounting with screws and wall anchors (pre-drilled holes in the acrylic backing), or drill-free fitting using industrial 3M double-sided adhesive. Then simply plug the transformer into a standard wall outlet. No technical skills required, installation takes less than 10 minutes. An illustrated guide is included in every parcel.

What is the difference between a custom neon and a professional made-to-measure neon?

The simulator is designed to create a text-based custom neon (first name, quote, keepsake word) for decorative or gift use: bedroom, living room, wedding, housewarming, independent shop. For a more complex professional project (shop sign, exterior façade, cut-out logo, multi-site rollout, resale or tax-exempt invoicing), head to our page made-to-measure neon where our design office takes over with a detailed quote within 48 working hours. What warranty covers my custom Helioneon neon?

All our custom neons are covered by a 3-year manufacturer's warranty , parts and labor. It applies to any manufacturing defect: faulty LED section, soldering, non-functioning transformer. If anything goes wrong, our customer service team sends you a replacement neon free of charge with no need to return the faulty product. The Helioneon team is available 7 days a week by email and online chat.

Can my custom neon be used outdoors?

It depends on the backing you choose in the simulator. Custom neons on clear rectangular acrylic or cut-out acrylic are suitable for indoor use or sheltered outdoor use (covered terrace, under a canopy, ventilated shop window). For direct exposure to the elements (driving rain, unprotected façade), we recommend going through our page made-to-measure neon , which includes reinforced waterproofing. The flexible polycarbonate backing is for indoor use only.

Can I change my custom neon after placing my order?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that is the whole point of the 3D mock-up approval stage. After you order, you receive a preview visual of your custom neon within 24 hours. You can then adjust the text, size, color or typeface before production starts. Once the mock-up is approved and production is under way, changes are no longer possible. That is why we encourage you to try every option in the simulator before checking out.

Do you offer RGB or color-changing neons?

Yes. RGB appears directly in the color list in the simulator , alongside the 13 fixed shades: select it and the price shown updates just as it does for any other option. An honest note on the look: an RGB tube carries three diodes per light point so that it can change shade, which spaces them further apart and makes the line slightly less continuous. On a word in wide letters or a sans-serif typeface, you will not see it. On a fine cursive script, the difference shows from a meter away. The other 13 colors are monochromes produced with a dedicated tube: a solid line, a crisper result.

What size of wall neon should I choose for my room?

The rule that works best: your neon should measure between one third and two thirds of the width of the piece of furniture or the stretch of wall it sits above. Any smaller and it gets lost, any larger and it overwhelms the rest of the wall décor. Three benchmarks taken from the formats we deliver most: 24 to 31 in (60 to 80 cm) above a 55 in (140 cm) double bed, 31 to 39 in (80 to 100 cm) above a three-seater sofa, 12 to 16 in (30 to 40 cm) on a shelf, a console table or a desk. For the mounting height, allow 1.50 m to 1.60 m (59 to 63 in) between the floor and the center of the neon in a living space, a little lower above a piece of furniture. The simulator shows the width and the height live as you type, with the price following along.

How much does a neon add to my electricity bill?

Between 10 and 15 watts per meter of tube . A 24 in (60 cm) first-name neon therefore runs at around 8 watts, roughly the equivalent of a small LED bedside bulb. In practice: on for five hours a day all year round, it uses about 15 kWh, which is less than $3.50 a year based on a rate of around $0.23 per kWh. The 12 V transformer is safety-certified (CE in Europe, UL or ETL in North America) and load-tested before shipping, and the tube does not get hot: you can put your hand on it after a whole evening.

Can I return or exchange my neon once I have received it?

No, and no custom neon manufacturer can: regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 excludes goods made to the customer's specifications from the right to cancel, and our returns policy restates it. Your first name in pink on 24 in (60 cm) is not resaleable to anybody else. What we do instead, and it settles the problem upstream: within 24h you receive a 3D mock-up of your neon, and nothing goes into production before you approve it. Text, size, color, typeface, everything can be corrected at that stage. After delivery, the 3-year warranty covers manufacturing defects: we send you a replacement neon without asking you to return the faulty one.
